Country Rumble 2024 Report
On September 22, we held our 5th annual Fall fundraiser, Country Rumble, at The Arboretum, University of Guelph. Mother Nature was on our side, providing clear blue skies and bright sunshine for an exciting day dedicated to promoting positive mental health and celebrating our community.
We welcomed 152 participants eager to Run, Walk, or Ride for Mental Health. The 80km cyclists enjoyed a scenic ride north to Belwood Lake, briefly stopping at Belwood Market for a break and to sample their famous butter tarts. Meanwhile, runners and walkers took to the beautiful trails of The Arboretum, choosing distances of 2.5km, 5km, or 10km.
A special shout-out goes to the incredible workplace teams and supporters who joined us: SLR Consulting, Domain Logistics, Skyline, Eramosa Physiotherapy, Running Works, Mary McEachern (M1 Real Estate), Cedar Lily Bra Boutique, and Rebel Performance! Your energy and enthusiasm were infectious, adding a fantastic vibe to the event. Thank you for helping to make the day truly special!
We also want to extend a heartfelt thank you to our amazing volunteers. Our dedicated team of volunteers worked hard to create a positive experience for everyone who attended.
Throughout the day, more than 330 attendees connected, enjoyed delicious food and were entertained by the incredible music of local performers, who donated their time and talent to support our cause. Our 2024 lineup included Royal City Ukulele Ensemble, Lennox and the Hot Flashes, Morgan Lee, Michelle Munroe, Erin Tusa-Thatcher, and Broadband.
We are thrilled to announce that Country Rumble exceeded our goal, raising an impressive $37,117.54! These funds will be instrumental in helping us expand our walking and running programs, both locally and in new communities.
Country Rumble was made possible by our generous sponsors, community partners, volunteers, and all who attended. Thank you for believing in us and helping us spread the joy of movement in nature to everyone. We can’t wait to see you again next year on September 14, 2025. Let’s keep moving forward together for mental health!
