Kelly Legge

Executive Director

Getting outside, biking, and running regularly are what keep me motivated and feeling empowered to take on everyday challenges. As a single mother of two, I am excited to promote these ‘pillars of strength’ through my work as Executive Director with Up and Running Guelph.

Following an accident in 2007, I was forced to re-evaluate all aspects of my life. While it was a seemingly daunting experience, focusing on an improved quality of life proved to be an effective approach. In 2009, I was introduced to running as a form of recreational therapy, and I haven't looked back since.

To empower others through exercise, I have pursued various fitness and health coaching certifications. While improved fitness and longevity are the common motivators for most programs, I was drawn to Up and Running Guelph for its focus on improving quality of life for those experiencing depression and/or anxiety. I have experienced first-hand the unlimited possibilities that come when one chooses to consistently get outside and put one foot in front of the other.
