With rising mental health challenges, including loneliness, anxiety, and burnout, Up and Running's mission is more important than ever. Since 2021, registrations for our programs have increased by 550%, showing the growing need for and positive impact of our walking and running groups.
Why “green exercise”?
Research shows that physical activity in nature can improve mental health by lowering stress, boosting mood, and helping with mild to moderate depression. Health professionals regularly recommend exercise and outdoor time to manage mental health.
