My dream job is to spend all day reading and writing adventure stories! … but, unfortunately, I’m not imaginative or patient enough to make a living from that, so I went to university instead. It was there that I discovered an interest in urban planning and public health research and knowledge mobilization.
I graduated from the University of Waterloo with a BA in anthropology and geography, then went on to complete an MA in recreation and leisure studies, and an MPH in public health at the University of Guelph. The next step of my lengthy academic journey is a doctorate, where I hope to explore urban environments that promote healthy, active lifestyles.
I joined Up and Running Guelph in 2021 to improve the organization's online presence through the creation of a new website, and to assist with information technology, governance, and research and evaluation.
