Meet the Musicians

Singer-songwriter Dan McLean Jr has been based in Guelph for ten years and has an album of original music coming in Oct ‘23. This will be Dan’s second time at Country Rumble. Reviewers have said:
“Beautifully performed, and so very well written – the positivity and optimism throughout is quite overwhelming, an absolute rarity these days”
Having volunteered facilitating a family support group for 15 years at Toronto’s Centre for Addiction & Mental Health (CAMH), Dan has a passion for mental health and addiction support.

Broadband is a rock band that started 5 years ago through Guelph’s JAMSchool and has been through several iterations of membership. The current band has been playing rock covers together since October 2022. Lead vocalist, NAOMI, has powerhouse pipes that allow all their 80s hair-band dreams to come true. CAITLIN shreds on electric guitar while LEANNE strums away on acoustic guitar. VANESSA, on the keyboard, adds a variety of synth sounds, with JENN O and JENNIFER carrying the rhythm on bass and drums, respectively.

Michelle Munroe is Guelph-based singer/songwriter proudly returning to Country Rumble. With folk and country influences, her music has been described as “a rare combination of creativity, honesty and humility that will startle an audience into listening.” Michelle has performed at Hillside Festival in 2019, 2021 and 2022 within their Girls + Guitars Songwriting Showcases and recently at The Grand Porch Party in Waterloo. When pandemic restrictions were lifted, she embarked on a self-proclaimed “Open Mic Tour” spanning southern Ontario and collecting many stories and new friends along the way. Michelle strongly supports this event’s fundraising focus supporting community mental health as she has worked in this field for the past 19 years.

Morgan Lee is a 14-year old Guelph musician who started playing bass and guitar over 2 years ago. She joined Guelph’s JamSchool in 2022 and started playing bass in two bands, Gauge 42 and the JamSchool House Band. With her bands and as a solo performer, Morgan covers popular rock songs and is looking forward to developing her skills as a songwriter. In 2023, Morgan was selected as a finalist for Owen Sound’s Summerfolk Festival Youth Discovery Program as a soloist and performed at the Hillside Festival with JamSchool’s Youth Showcase with her two bands.

Grand River Band is a group of four talented musicians who have been entertaining most of southern Ontario for more than a decade with classic rock and roll and contemporary music from the 60s to the present. With a father/son combination of Steve and Joe Burns on guitar and vocals, the rhythm section is rounded out with Doug Inglis on drums and Jim McEachern on bass guitar.
GRB is happy to be returning to the Country Rumble for a second year! After enjoying closing out last year’s event at Thatcher Farm, they are excited to be performing at this year’s venue, The Arboretum Centre, University of Guelph.
